WTF? Super fires are not a real leusistic?
i was surfing "world of ball pythons" morph list... looking at some super forms... when suddenly a wild Super fire appears!!
i was thinking like "oh super fire... thats just going to be another boring white snake...", pressed on the link and saw this -
    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/super-fire/

now, i know that there's super fires which is all white snake, but can someone explain whats the possibility to get a snake looks like this? (i mean with the color over the white)

I would imagine the snakes that aren't solid white would be more common than the solid white leus.

BUT I am DEFINITELY no expert, so take that statement with a grain of salt!! I'm pretty interested in the (real) answer to this, actually.

Some lines of fires are more prone to producing Supers with yellow. Not all supers will be all white. Just as not all supers will have yellow. I know its not as common to produce a BlkEL with yellows than a solid white. The more yellow, the more desirable/higher price tag.

Really? I would be more inclined to pay more for a solid white snake with black eyes.... But maybe that's just me. :p
    Good to know, though!

i think the yellow ones are much prettier, solid white snakes are pretty boring

and back to the topic - what lines of fire are more likely to produce supers with yellow?

The highest yellows I've seen come from the sulfur line of black eyed leucs. And the least amount of yellow I've seen come from the lemonback line.

I just saw that morph for the first time too. And I'd definitely pay more for a super fire that looked like that than an all-white snake. Don't get me wrong, I think leucistics are pretty, but that's prettier, to me.

The splotches make every BlkEL unique and just keeps the excitement level high, at least for me. Here's a 2012 clutch from a fire x fire using Bob Clark stock. I'm sure anticipation on hatches will always be high for me with the fires; waiting anxiously to see what kind of splash art they throw my way.

Leucism /ˈljuːsɪzəm/[1] is a condition characterized by reduced pigmentation in animals caused by a recessive allele. Unlike albinism, it is caused by a reduction in all types of skin pigment, not just melanin.

Leucism is a reduction in the pigment and melanin, it does not have to be a pure white animal.
    Ivory's are leucistic also :gj:

I love the bel's with yellow splotches. I like the all white ones too though. I kinda think of them like pieds (looks wise, not genetically). A high white pied would be nice, but i like the low and medium whites best. Actually, i think i'll just take one of each :D
