BP Room filtration system
As some of you may know, I'm in the process of finishing my Ball Python room. Drywall is 90% completed and is really starting to come together!
In a previous thread I spoke about using an exhaust fan to bring clean air into the room but got a great suggestion and then I kind of went overboard.
So, this is my new (currently being built system). The first stage will be the filtration system, which will pull the air in from near the floor, filter it and blow it back into the room near the ceiling. This will create both air circulation, as well as filter the air itself. I'll be using a filter made from a home furnace system.
The second phase will be adding heat. I have not decided on the heat source, and will need to experiment with that of course. However, when I find the right heat source I'll add a thermostat in the room, and this will act just like a home furnace. It will both heat and filter the air in the room.
Phase 3 will be adding a humidifier ;)

Ricky basically you are just circulating the air a ceiling fan will do the same. I would bring fresh air in or just instal a ceiling fan. You are overly complicating things running a closed system depending on how tight unhealthy as well.

Good question ;)
Yes, I'm going to have clean air vents in the room as well, so this will be pulling in air from the room in addition to fresh air. This isn't the same as a fan, since it filters the air. My fan just circulates it.
As well, as mentioned, phase 2 will be adding heat. Filtration is only phase 1.
True, it's overcomplicating things. Thats my style :) I like projects that keep me busy so that I don't have to watch the bachelorette with my fiance.
