Awesome tattoo. How long did it take? I have a simple one on my ribs, tree of gondor. I couldn't imagine sitting through all the lines for the scales.

    That's awesome!

I got my first tattoo done about three weeks ago on my ankle.

I hear ribs are one of the most painful places to get a tattoo.

Looks great! Love it! I don't even have my snakes yet and I'm popping with all kinds of tattoo ideas. They're not kidding when everyone says they're like potato chips. "You can't just have one!"

The general rule of thumb is that any place that isn't used to being rubbed will hurt more than others.

i.e. Your forearms are used to being rubbed against various things, as are the palm of your hands and what not. This is why when trying to feel how hot something you're supposed to use the back of your hand versus the palm. The reason is because if something is hot enough to cause a burn and you touch it with the palm of your hand, by the time it registers it's usually too late and you've already burned yourself. If you use the back of your hand, it's way more sensitive so you feel the heat immediately thus you don't get burned. I do mechanic work on the side, so just a piece of advice for ever dealing with heat as well, lol.

Whoah, I would never get ink done...but that is beautiful, in a very raw way.

I can't wait to get more ink. I think I want one of my next ones (because I have countless planned, in no particular order) to be Magnus wound around my right upper arm. Have to find a REALLY good realism artist...
