Do they require alot of work, and are they expensive? And what kind of enclosures do they require? Sorry about all the questions but I think they are cool!

Amazons require more work then some other snakes but arent too bad. They are by no means a beginner snake though! Temps need to be on the cooler side, in the low 80's, and the humidity needs to be kept high. The cage needs plenty of air flow or mildew and fungus will grow from the excess humidity. Getting this balance in the caging is one of the reasons that they arent for someone new to snakes. Another reason is that they are display animals, not a snake to handle. They like to bite, lunge, and stress easily so handling should be kept to a minimum. They can be housed in a 10 gallon tank standing on end with a plexi-glass front or rubbermaid container for quite a while. An adult should have a home roughly in the range of a 24" wide x 24" tall x 16" deep.
ATBs are not that expensive, a garden phase can be found for around $40 and they go up from there depending on color and quality. As with any animals, captive bred are the way to go. Wild caught snakes are common and can be a pain, full of parasites and mis-handled in the export process.

All very nice, but Dippy in particular strikes my fancy. Do you have other animals, or strictly snakes?

greenman, Snippy is considered a halloween phase, or at least that is how she was sold to me. To be completely honest I am not sure what she is though. Most of the gardens I have seen have a lot less contrasting patterns and a lot more grayish coloring.
