How many insects at a time for an adult?
Just got him; thanks to those who offered advice a couple weeks back about what to feed him.

So... It's abundantly clear that I need to order crickets in bulk (or other insects in bulk).

I know crickets should be the staple; how many should he get a day? Can I feed him crickets every other day, or must it be daily?

Also posted a question about keeping crickets here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...et-of-crickets

Any help would be great... for some reason this diet for a beardie seems so much more tedious than flipping my bp a mouse each week... Thanks again!

Crickets don't have to be a staple. I only feed my adult dubias, superworms, phoenix/reptiworms, butterworms and the occasional waxworm. Depends on the sizes of these. *Most* adult beardies won't overeat, so I put what I think he might eat, plus a few more. For large supers, he will usually eat 9-10/day. 1" dubias, maybe 6-7. He can eat like 20-25 phoenix worms in a sitting. I usually feed 6 days a week. One day off just to remind him to eat his veggies! ;)
Beardies are def more of a fuss than any snake, but a healthy, happy adult beardie is a ton of fun!
