Ovulation???

While most of you are hatching out some amazing clutches, I believe I'm only on my first ovy of the year! All my females seem to be developing slowly this year. Here's my 3500 gram female pastel looking to be in ovulation. I know my pictures aren't the best, but I didn't want to move her and stress her out anymore. I'm thinking ovulations are a little more sublte in these big females??

First pic is early yesterday when I really saw the build coming on, second pic is last night before I went to bed, and third pic is this morning...I'm thinking I missed the peak of ovulation?

Assuming she hasn't eaten recently, I'd say that's an ovy. :gj:

Our girls are going to be clutch buddies! My first ovy was on Thursday of last week!

She was paired with a black pastel from October to January and then a lesser from February until ovy. I also threw in a pewter boy about 5 or 6 times but I never witnessed a lock and there's reason to believe this male is not quite old enough (even though he's over 600g) because he's being paired with the other female and no locks from that pair either. I'm pretty sure the lesser got the job done and I'll be very surprised (but thrilled) if I get a black pastel out of the clutch.

Looks good - How many eggs do you think she'll have? She looks huge!

I'm hoping for around 8-10 from her. She had last year off so she definately has the extra bulk stored up to produce some good sized eggs.

She looks great! I always look for ovulation when they look like they swallowed a coke can. Best of luck!
