    What morph is this?
I'm looking to buy a pet locally. The seller says they are also the breeder. I've owned med-large lizards but have never ventured into the BP world. I'm told its a black pastel lesser. 6mo old male, eating adult mice and the asking price is $350. I'm hoping to get him this weekend but I wanted to make sure I wasn't being ripped off first. Thanks in advance for any help. Here are some pics!

Would that be a fair price? I tried looking on fauna but there weren't any semi-recent ones that I could find. I saw a female on kingsnake that went for $700 but, it was a female.

Looks like a Black Pastel Lesser to me...and $350 seems like a good deal...although I have no idea if that's fair market value...I like them a little more reduced, but if you like him, I'd say go for it.

I concur: Blk Pastel Lesser and yes - that is a fair price IMO.

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna be getting him sometime today. I had another question for you all... He's never had f/t, I don't have issues doing live but I plan to try and switch him over to f/t when hes adjusted here. I'm wondering if I should wait a few days before buying a mouse. I know its not uncommon for them to take a few days to adjust to their new environment. Because of this, I would wait a few days. However, yesterday would have been a feed day. The owner decided to skip yesterday to prevent issues since I'm getting him today.

The BP is also in shed. From the sound of it, he doesn't refuse when in shed. I just feel like there are a couple of variables here and I don't want to buy a live mouse if its not going to be eaten. I don't really want to keep a mouse around "just in case". I'm leaning towards waiting a few days but I wanted to get other opinions because he is younger, I'm not sure if it would be bad for him. I set up his tub last night and have been playing around with a water dish. The humidity is hovering around 62-63% (digital reading) right now.

I'd wait till he shed to be honest.

It won't do him any harm and he will be nice and hungry when you offer.

I'd even say try him with the defrost first and then if he didn't take it offer live the next day.

Awesome, thank you. I gess trying f/t first might be better anyway if he's a little more hungry than usual. I feel like I've got a good grasp on the basics, I just wasn't sure if there was any added stress because of the shed and new home.
