    Rack in closet?
Hey guys i got a question? My lesser girl is quickly outgrowing her 16 qt tub and I am wanting to build a rack as i plan to get a few more snakes shortly, but i do not have a room i can designate for the snakes therefore i cannot keep the temp up for a rack. We do however have a spare closet. Can i keep a rack in a closet? I dont think there would be enough air exchange? What about light? Does anybody have any experience with this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Mines in my closet :) I use a space heater when it's cool to keep the air warm so I don't have to heat an entire room, just the closet. My closet has two doors and is about 7 feet wide but only about 2.5 feet deep and my rack is to one side. I just keep one door closed to hold in heat.

Awesome thanks! What do you think about the light situation this closet only has one door I'm sure ill have to close it in the winter too keep the heat in.

Wouldn't really worry about it, it's not going to be pitch black (at least ist not in mine) but you could open it during the day and close them at night. I point the heater right at the rack so it's not hard to heat at all.

As they normally live in rodent burrows and turmite mounds, light is not much of a concern...

    No problem.
I did this cause in the winter when I turn the heat on in my apartment it SKYROCKETS my bill. So I just keep the rack in the closet with the heater to save power.
