Emergency Ball Python Care
Hello BP.net family. I haven't posted about our lost hatchling because I see so many LOST SNAKE! threads, but yes...we lost one of our hatchlings a couple weeks ago. He hadn't even eaten his first meal yet. Without a lot of backstory, we just found the snake OUTSIDE in the parking lot of our apartment complex. Now we need a lot of help if this little one is going to survive.
-The snake was extremely limp when we first got him into the apartment so we supported him through a warm water/pedialyte soak, and he seemed to respond well with some movement and tongue flicks. So we smashed up a pinky and mixed it with some more warm water and pedialyte and gave him a small amount with a syringe to try to fill his tiny belly. He swallowed quite a bit and gave us more tongue flicks, but we didn't want to exhaust him so after the pinky mix we put him into his tub, under a hide with a dish of water.
Now what? How do we make sure this isn't a sad ending?
Re: Emergency Ball Python Care
Anyone? :(
I don't want to keep stuffing him with pedialyte if it's not the right thing to do. Does anyone have rescue experience? Thanks!
Re: Emergency Ball Python Care
I'm sorry, but we just checked on him and he has passed on.
Thanks anyways ricky :/

Re: Emergency Ball Python Care
So sorry for your loss. I just found this thread and I'm afraid I wouldn't be enough help anyway. :(
