Snake has an indentation in his eye! I don't know what to do! Help.

I have a young snake and I just got home an noticed he has an indentation in his eye. I remember seeing it on here before. When I searched eye no results came. All of his husbandry is correct according to my instruments.

It's most likely due to being dehydrated. Just make sure he has fresh water and his humidity is at a normal range and it should return to normal after a while...

Thank you! I haven't seen him drink. I've had him for 4 weeks and I believe he is around 8-10 weeks old. When I got him he was 60 grams; ill be weighing him this Tuesday to see his progress. In the 4 weeks I've had him he has ate weekly no problem. His husbandry is correct per my gauges.

You have to have a bit of luck to catch them in the act of drinking...or a lot of free time! :D Watching them at night when they're more active is your best bet. If your husbandry is good, just keep an eye on him and don't sweat it. He'll be fine. :)

Not a big deal just make sure you humidity is right and it will self correct.

Increased humidity and eye is back to normal shape. He was in bad shape as a hatchling from the pet shop. He's improved. I soaked him this morning to help with his stuck shed but it still appears to be pulling his scales when I try to get it off with a warm damp towel. Should I just let him soak longer? And thanks for the help!

Try throwing a washcloth or two in the tub with him while he's soaking. Make sure there's enough water that the cloth doesn't soak it all up.

That's exactly what I did 👍 thank you. When I returned him to his cage I created a damp hide using the same wash cloth. This is acceptable right?

I've got almost all of his shed off. He looks so much better. There is still some behind his head that seems more stubborn than the rest. What is the longest recommended time for them to soak to resolve this issue?
