Moving to a new home! Any tips!
In about 2 weeks, I will be moving from my home to a city about 3 hours away. I was wondering what is the proper way to transport my ball python with the least amount of stress put on him as possible! I feel more comfortable if there is someone to have him on my lap, but what is the best way to transport a snake?

I think in a small tub with locking lid and some crumpled newspaper kept dark and warm. That is how I have done it.

I've transported like that a couple times. All i do is put the snake in a snake bag and then out the bag in an appropriate sized tub (6qt works for most, 12qt for bigger ones probably) thats filled with crumpled newspaper. For only a 3hr journey, temps aren't a huge issue as long as you stay between 70F-90F, the best you can.
