    :D Well hey there everybody!!
I gotta say that I am a very pleased snake daddy - all my snakes are doing great but I am particularly pleased with the progress of my Ball Pythons. All three are eating like horses and growing at a ridiculous rate. They are so healthy that they even have this cool midnight blue sheen to their dark colored areas of their bodies. Over the last year I have heard much from other herpers about how difficult and treacherous Ball Pythons are but I find that I disagree....I think the whole key to successful BP husbandry is in getting a good captive born juvenile that is well started and then applying strict temp/humidity/stress guidelines to their husbandry. I would recommend starting off with a good CB juvie and then maintaining them on alfalfa pellet bedding ( my favorite ) keeping the temp on the hot side at around 85-90 degrees / cool side about 78 -80 degrees and allow for an evening natural cooldown.I prefer to keep the humidity at about 65 % and let it dry out a bit now and then. And the most important thing is the hide box....oooohh...they loves their hide boxes...I let my snakes sleep most of the time and I usually wait till evening when they are out and around looking for a snack to pick them up and play with them. This species really needs its privacy time. Hey, do this stuff just like I said and you will be styling too....I hope this is some help to any newcomers... :P
Ball Pythons are in my humble opinion one of the best snakes you could possibly own...oh and as far as the whole feeding thing...let the snakes tell YOU when they want to eat...believe me, they will get this hungry look on their faces ( I swear....Im not losing my mind ) and they will prowl around and BAMMMO!!!!!! they will hit the prey item so fast you will jump outa your skin...I have been powerfeeding my pythons and if I let them they would eat me outa house and home..but sheesh...you should see how big and thick they are getting... 8)
