So Close! But yet...so far...

Man! I am so close to getting my snake! But than I forgot about the price of mice and a thermometer/hygrometer. Ugh, now I have another like 58 bucks to save up. And I've used up all the things I can do in this little town. Ugh, oh well... :roll: I guess I better quit the ranting and get thinking of things to do.

and you dont need a lot of mice right away, if you live close enough to any reptile store, or store with reptiles in it, i just get enough for two weeks, always fun to go see what they have new

Yeah, but I forgot to add the price of the snake. Thats $18 + $20 for mice from rodentpro.com + $15 for the thermometer = $58. But I would like to have enought mice to get me through a long time.

id still say just buy the mice when you need them, because if they are in your freezer for too long, then they can get freezer burn, and i dont feed if its freezer burnt

and do you HAVE to get them from rodentpro? i would only do that if its a MUST need, im sure theres at least a petco around you, even though they arent good with live animals, im sure their frozen mice would be fine

The only problem with getting a bag of 100 mice from places like rodentpro.com is, if you have a younger snake, he/she will most likely need a bigger meal before those 100 run out.

Its the only thing prevently me from buying in bulk. I don't wanna go buying 100 fuzzies and have her grow out of them in a few months before I run out of mice. Buying is bulk is usually for stores, people with lots of snakes, or someone with an older snake who won't change meal size for a long time.

Thats just my opinion though ^_^

I'm gonna get my mice from a local petstore, not petco cause they suck and are over priced foreverything, man I hate PetCo >_<

Well than I'm still stuck with with around thirty bucks to save. Yeah, I know it dosn't sound like alot but there is absolutly nothin left to do here!

Not only that but the shipping on the bulk mice is so high. I can get the same order from a local frozen supplier (at the reptile show) for a lot less.

Also, if your new BP doesn't eat F/T (I can't remember if you found one already that does), then you'd be stuck with a lot of mousecicles.
