    Het albino markers
Hi all. I've been keeping royals for ten years or so now and I'm well aware of het pied markers, although I wouldn't trust them if I was buying / selling. Would always buy from a trusted source. Anyway, a fella on my local forum is spouting about a het albino having 'markers'. Speckling on the belly etc. I've never heard of this before! Am I missing something or is he talking out of his chuff?

I've not bred albinos, so I'm no help here. I just wanted to say I think I love the term l talking out of his chuff." I've never heard that one before.

I have been working with albinos and hets for 8 years or so and have never seen any identifying markers for het albinos. I have heard several folks say my hets have this and that and others say my hets don't have whatever the other guy feels is a marker so my experience is no for the het markers. Even though pieds can have markers they are not 100% reliable as even non hets can have the same markers.
