Anybody have any luck with these? I'm not very keen on these, and I'm curious if other people have used them with any luck? I'm mainly curious about how accurate they are.

I have used the second variety for just a room temp thermometer. Mine has been accurate within a degree, but just make sure you have them adhered with the suction cup well, because the actual device is relatively heavy for the cup.

They are really good for tracking room temp because they have a max and min readout so you can watch night time temp drops

Well I have both in my snake tank, and I was checking temps with the temp gun and I was getting 78, versus the thermometers reading 86. I figured it out though, I was shooting the temp through the glass, and apparently they're inaccurate if you shoot through reflective objects, lol.

How do you have the thermometers in the tank? I couldn't hang it inside mine because my big 'un would topple it. Not that I don't think it would work, I am just curious. I can't even get fake plants with suction cups to stay up because he'll just pull em down.

Well I'm not using them for a BP, which is why I don't have the issue. The smaller one has a suction cup, I sprayed it with water then stuck it on the back of the tank and haven't had an issue.

The bigger one, I took 3M Tape(what they use to secure molding parts on cars sometimes) and put a strip on the back of the magnet and I put it on the tank, and it's securely there, I'm not even sure a BP weight would knock it down.
