Provent-a-Mite and Hognose?

Hey guys. I'm caring for my sister's bearded dragon, skink, and geckos while she's away. Today I just found some black mites around the beardie's eyes. All of her lizards are kept in a different part of the house from my snakes and I haven't seen any mites on the snakes or in their enclosures, but I feel like I should be aggressive with it and treat everything. I've heard that Provent-a-Mite has some seriously bad issues with hognose though. Is there a mite treatment I can use that won't harm my hogs?

For the record, I do have some of the 'reptile spray' that Reptile Basics sells but I'm aware that you need to treat the enclosures as well.

Provent-a-mite has some serious issues with geckos too. I wouldn't use it, especially on animals that aren't your own.

Are you sure the mites you are seeing are pests? The lizard mites I've generally seen are red in color. Lizards don't get snake mites and snakes don't get lizard mites. At least as far as I know.

Yikes, good to know. They're leopard geckos for the record. Even though they aren't mine, I'm quite partial to them and would feel absolutely awful if I hurt them :(

P-A-M is a serious chemical it can have serious issues for YOU and every animal around especially CATS as well. It needs to be treated very very carefully. The instructions are very specific remove all pets and treat, well ventilate the area before returning. I do not know of specific gecko sensitivity but snakes are.

Yeah...I think I'll pass then. I have cats as well.
