    Infertile eggs?
I finally got my first clutch of the year on 5/25/13. They are a week old today so I thought I would candle them and see how they are doing. 8 out of 10 look normal. The other 2 just glow yellow, with no blood vessels. I have never had this happen before and I'm thinking that they are infertile.

My question is, how long does it take for infertile eggs to start funkin' up. I know it's o.k. to leave them alone, but I think I would have to remove the bad eggs.

Give them a few days and candle them again. I've had this happen to me before too and was a bit confused when veins suddenly appeared. Personally I leave them be until they start to smell and turn colors.

If its not a total slug then leave it till it smells.
You will know if it goes bad :gj:

Thanks for the info. They are not slugs. Big, firm, white eggs. They all look good from the outside. I'm going to leave them alone until until they get funky.

Our only clutch to ever have an infertile egg just finished hatching. We candle laid eggs immediately and noticed one was just a pretty glowing yellow egg. Left it in with the rest, no choice really stuck good and it didn't rot till weeks before the entire clutch hatched!

I'm betting they will start going bad, but you might as well leave them in until you know for sure they are bad.
