She is very definitely a normal Colombian BCI. A very nice one with high speckling and some slight aberrancies in her tail pattern, but a BCI nonetheless. :gj:

My buddy has a cool looking hypo male should I breed her and when will she be ready to breed ie. Weight, length?

She won't be breedable until she's about 3-4 years old, at least, and about as big around as a 20oz soda bottle. She should also be in excellent condition and very strong and sturdy and eating exceptionally well.

Personally, I would not breed her to just a hypo. Hypos are nice and can add a lot to a breeding program, but if bred to a normal, you would get hypos and normals. You can sell normals for around $30-40 and hypos will go for maybe double that. Boas can have 30-40 babies in one litter. Normals and single gene hypos (meaning hypos that don't express another gene or aren't het for anything else) don't really sell that readily.

If you are interested in breeding, I would look at picking up a really nice double or triple gene male. Take a look at Jungles or Arabesques. Both are a co-dominant gene that is quite popular right now. If you pair a Jungle to your girl, you should have a good number of Jungles in the litter. Or maybe see if you can find a Sunglow Jungle! You'll have a few normals, some hypos, normal jungles, and hypo jungles in the litter ALL het for albino! Now those babies should be much easier to market! :gj:



** If you do decide to breed, remember what I said about how many babies boas can have in a litter. Make sure you are emotionally, physically, and financially prepared to keep every baby you don't sell....
