Rack Color - Any reason it would matter?
Hey guys, I'm just being silly, but I want to make the right decision now that I've saved up for a rack system.

The first one(7/14 tub) is what I'm pretty positive I'm going with: http://www.animalplastics.com/Sterilite/1754.htm

    Options are Black or White.

Any chance the black would make them feel more secure, or the white would have better visual contrast with the animals?

What do you like better personally and why?

Really tired right now, and maybe I'm being ridiculous, but any replies are appreciated :P have a good one

I would take black - having worked with both colors, the black looks new WAY longer than white ever will. I would imagine the darkness of black would also help the animals feel more comfortable.

I would definitely take the black one as well, because it looks better :D

I like black. Just remember: one does not simply go back, once you go black, for a rack. :gj:

All my newer racks are black. Staining is inevitable, but it shows up better on white.

I'm against the grain on this one and perhaps it is because I'm OCD but if you've ever had a white rack then you know the kind of messes that snakes make on the top above their tub. Small marks from sliding tubs is one thing but poop and waste on the top? I like to be able to see that the surface is entirely clean. I know exactly how much elbow grease goes into getting the top clean and it is never clean when you think it is. I always have to go back for more elbow grease. I think black hides stuff too easily and lets one get lazy. I will admit that black looks better from aesthetics but white is easier for keep clean properly and sanitarily. Just my :twocents: :sweeet:

Glad I'm not alone. I prefer white. Maybe because that's what I have? Maybe because it seems brighter? Easier to see messes? Meh, I'll take white.
