Not long after I had posted in Jonahs thread I finally made my way downstairs to check on my boys. Bob was as usual sleeping in one of his hides. I then looked in Nanners cage he had regurged again and was lying a small distance away from the regurged rodent.

This was the third regurge in a about 6 weeks everything husbandry wise has been on the money. I reached into his tank and picked him up it was like picking up a piece of spaghetti. He was barely alive even warm water did not stimulate him. I did not want him to suffer any longer considering he had probably been lying there for a long time barely clinging to life.

It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make but instead of forcing him to suffer thru the night until I could get him to a vet. I decided to end his pain. I will miss him alot he was my second herp that I ever had and I wish him well on his journey.

If I had to speculate I think he may have had an internal problem. A while ago while on a outside visit he was getting frisky and trying to escape I reached down to pick him up and misjudged the direction he was moving and kinda squished him a little bit. He seemed fine afterward and I hadn't given it much thought until now.

All I can say now is God speed Mr. Nanners and you will be missed.

I'm sorry Mac. I can only imagine how hard that must have been. I hope I am never in that position.
    Rest in peace Nanners.

I am so sorry for your loss.
But you know in your heart you did the right thing.
Sometimes the choices aren't easy but have to be done because it is the right thing to do.
    Nanners is at peace now.
Take care and hope you feel better soon.
