Sexing BP?

So ive finally become interested in figuring out the gender of my ball that i got from petco a while ago. Ive never popped or anything before but i did my research and tested it out. i think i was successful in popping he/she but i cant tell if what came out means boy or girl lol.

my camera was being a pos but it resembles this picture a lot (i found this in a different thread.. sorry for borrowing)

that one was deemed a female in the thread. what i see when i pop he/she are the *small* little red nubs on the sides but the middle part where it it more white in the photo is more pink/red. Is it possibly just irritated cuz i was trying a couple times? they definitely dont look long like the penes iv see in videos but maybe he/she has small ones *lol* or i just didnt pop them far enough?

its not small like this though. theres stuff inbetween like the other picture. The snake is also ~400g so id imagine they might be bigger

Ill try to take a picture when its not so dark out. It is bad to keep popping them though? I was very gentle but I dont want to hurt he/she.

If you are popping correctly, looks like you have a girl.

but i popped my ~200g mojave and got the same thing. i got him from a breeder and he was sold as a male. but also when i look at the picture you showed me that is a male he has them too

so what do the lil nubs mean? am i just not doing it hard enough to pop the whole pene out?

The smaller nubs are scent glands. Females and males have them. Males only have the hemipenes.
You're probably not rolling hard enough. Use a rolling motion from mid tail. Like tooth paste. Have your other hand in front of the cloaca like a back stop.

The black arrows point to a dark red blob? ive tried and tried but no penes come out.. it just seems like the anus skin bulges a little if i do it any firmer.

I found this other thread that saw something similar and were confused as well. The people who answered said it looked like a over-popped female
