Help the snake I rescued from a cruel owner...please.

my ball python, Henry, has a serious problem with his eyes. I believe he is blind and may be developing an infection. There we several layers of eye caps which did not shed off. The owner tried to pull them off with their nails after tape did not work. i believe this is what caused the problem. the husbandry was also an issue so I soak daily to help with shed. the humidity level of my tank is a little more or less than 60 and temp is 85 degrees.

Looks like you're trying to copy images from Gmail. That's not going to work. You need to upload them to an image hosting site, or just use the Advanced Editor to upload them directly to the forum.

I can't help with old stuck on eye caps because I have not encountered that problem, but if you think there is a possible infection then I would take the snake to a herp vet soon before it gets worse. Trying to get the stuck caps off yourself at this point may do more harm than good.

While I applaud you for your compassion, if the snake is in that bad of shape, he needs to be taken to a herp vet.

He needs to see a vet to determine the extent of the damage and possible treatment. From the photos, it does not look good.

Blind BPs can live near-normal lives, but the infection needs to be cleared off before that can happen, otherwise it can spread to the bloodstream.

EDIT: Also, bump up your temps. 92 hotspot, 78-82 cool side. Make sure humidity stays near 50-60. I understand why you're soaking, but it can actually hinder his shed process by stripping important oils from his skin. Keeping his humidity a bit higher will be sufficient.

Oh my gosh... that poor snake. It looks like the owner peeled off the initial eye caps and left the unprotected eye to shrivel up in it's socket.

It doesn't look to me that the snake will ever see again. Do you know any vet that you could get the snake to?
Hopefully someone else has insight about what to do for now..

this is why no one should try to remove eye caps from their snake. Always contact a good herp vet who can do it properly.

Vet... ASAP.

i found a good herp vet where i live. i hope the little guy is not suffering...

what are the consequences of him being blind, besides not being able to see? more aggressive? etc.
