    Baby Ball Temperament/behavior question
So critter has been with us now a month! Eating every time presented, hiding and moving through gradient, temps and humidity are spot on! Critter seems to be adapting well! Got a full shed after about the 2 week mark!

Question is, I've been handling every other day except for shed and after feeding of course, and in beginning after about 10 minutes or so she would start to really look for a place to hide and seem a little finicky, so I'd put her back and let her be:-) Here recently, like last night, I got her out when I got home from work for about 30 minutes and then about 4 hours later when she started to do her nightly movement out of hide and checking things out. Both times we got her out and she started to crawl around on me and the gf but was seemimg to be a little less finiky than normal. I noticed she wasn't hiding her head and was literally just laying very relaxed and not breathing hard in my hands up against me chest. It was almost like she was asleep lol she did the same thing when she was out the second time, just stretched out or not ball up in our hands and just hang out with her head propped on our hands as we rubbed her a bit...I attempted to place her down in her terrarium the first time and she kind of just stayed in my hand and really didnt have any interest in going back in her hide quickly like she normally does, I literally had to gently slide her into the terrarium and she just slowly went into her hide. The second time out she really didnt move a whole lot and just laid out on us and didnt move a whole lot...I then sat her on the couch and she just stayed there...I was getting a little concerned but she was breathing calmly...she wasn't putting her tongue out in the air when she was in this still state, but she would as we picked her up to check on her...as we were rubbing her she peed on my gf lol I think the heat from our hands and the runbbing had something to do with that! Lol but she could of been stressed, but she wasn't acting like it...could be she was just nice and comfy and peed! Lol. I put her back in the terrarium and she slithered around and climbed a bit and then calmly went back into her cool side hide. So what's going on here? Is my critter girl just getting comfy with being handled, or them being still and not restless and appearing to sleep a sign that she is stressed? To me it seems she is very laid back now and just literally goes limp and relaxes when we hold her after a bit...any thoughts?

Sounds totally normal. Movement of being handled often makes them flex their bowel muscles, which makes them pee/poop. When she was holding still she was probably contemplating peeing on the bed, but mine will also sit still sometimes, just resting.

So does it seem she is just getting more calm and trusting then? She was very calm it seemed:-)

LOL totally normal sounding. generally there will be a visual bulging near the vent, some of us call it "Sausage Butt" that is generally a good indication of a mess coming sometime soon. the more they are handled the more relaxed they get with it, some are curious and try to explore, others just hang out there with ya.

So did you ask your GF if it is truly better to be pissed off or to be pissed on?. LOL

LOL she wasn't too happy since this is the second time she has let loose on her...first time when we brought her home she actually pooped her little log on her! LOL I think she would say pissed OFF would be the better option at this point! I found it quite funny! She did not LMAO!!
