    Lesser x Butter
Okay, so I've heard there can be some defects of breeding lesser X lesser ( duck billing I think). I've heard its only occasional though. But are there any recorded defects of breeding lesser X butter? I know they are "technically" the same gene, just different lines (I think that's right). So has there been any problems with lesser x butter? Just curious :)

Duck billing is more common in super cinnis/super black pastels. The most common issue I've heard for super lesser/super butter and butter lesser is bug eyes and blindness.

Edit: and yes, butter lessers have those issues as well. Go for mojo lesser for a Bel without the eye issues.

Butter and lesser are the same thing, so yes super lessers, super butters, and lesser/butter BEL's all have a chance on having eye issues.
We produced 3 BEL's from lesser X butter and 2 of the BEL's are blind.

Okay thank you guys for the input. Reason for me asking is I have a female Mojave now, and getting a female butter soon. Was debating to, in the future, get q male 3 gene combo with butter or lesser in it, but since they have the eye issues, looks like I'm going with male with mojave in it. Can you tell I wanna make some BELs? :D

Is blindness really common with this combo like the "wobble" in spiders?

its really just this one combination, so you can work around it.

lesser/butter (one copy) to mystic or phantom or het russo or mocha or mojave should do the job without any risk of an eye issue.

i would just aim for lesser mojave, and then breed it to maybe mystic or phantom or again to mojave. lesser mojave to super mojave is also a good pairing.

Will butter to mojave have a grey head or 50/50? I love the super white heads but don't want to risk producing blindness knowingly.

Butter to mojave makes a super clean BEL

one copy of butter or lesser is enough to make a very clean white BEL, without any grey. and with butter mojave or lesser mojave, risk of eye problems is zero.
