    how often do bp's ovulate?
    I couldn't find anything when i searched "how often" and "ovulate".

    If they go and don't re-absorb the follicles, once every breeding season.

    My understanding is once a year as well.

    Yeah, I think so as well. I think the biggest reason for this is the fact that they do not ovulate until the follicles are pretty huge, and that development takes a large portion of the year. Combine that with them losing a significant amount of weight in dropping eggs, which means they need to regain that weight to put towards the next follicles, which takes time, and there you have an entire year to complete that cycle.

    how many times can they produce and reabsorb the follicles in a year if they are not bred?
