they are pretty easy to handle. mine is cage aggressive but i hook him out and as soon as he is removed he is pleasant as can be. he has bitten me once or twice in his cage but they are so small it doesn't matter. it feels like touching velcro. they are very food aggressive and have a voracious eating response. other than that they are super cool. much like any aussie python. if you've ever dealt with carpets its pretty much the same on a smaller scale.

Babies definitely tend to be nippy, but they're so small it's laughable more than anything else. They do seem to take longer to grow out of the defensive biting stage, but considering how small they are for so long, I think that's understandable. It does seem like age a lot of times is more important than handling when it comes to them calming down and being easily handleable, almost like they wake up somewhere around a year old and suddenly realize it's okay to be nice, like a switch flipped in their heads overnight. Currently I'm only keeping spotteds, not childrens, although there is very little difference between the two and all four of mine are great to handle so long as you don't smell like a rodent.
