I know smoke is bad for snakes
I never smoke around my BP's but i was wondering if incenses would be bad to burn in a room. I usually set them by the window (the incense) and the smoke draws towards the floor..... But is it harmful to bp's?

Might be a stupid question but i am curious as to what you guys think.

Yes. Snakes only have "one" lung. They don't handle smelly things or smoke well. Because they have one major lung and one that might as well not be there, respiratory problems can get rough fast. Don't burn incense or even use a lot of smelly air freshener in your room, just to be safe.

I think BPs have 2 lungs. I still wouldnt risk causing them health issues.

I think one of their lungs is just much smaller than the other. They for sure have 2 though.

I don't do it everyday, but I have burned incense around my snakes in the past and -gasp- they are all just fine.

I wouldn't make a habit of doing it everyday in a closed room with the animals, but once in a while is not going to hurt. Perhaps open a window if you do so.

Colubrids have one lung, most pythons and boas have 2.

They have two but one of them is really small and pretty much good for nothing.
