    Mini fridge/freezer recommendation
So I've reached the point where I feel disgusting keeping pet foods in the same fridge/freezer as human ones.

I live in an apartment and eat almost entirely takeout, so it's been less of an issue until recently. New GF, tryna be less gross.

AAAAnyway, can anybody recommend a great small fridge/freezer? In my experience the ones that have a freezer compartment don't really work, so I'd need something with an actual freezer box, not just a colder section in the fridge.

The problem is that all the ones I'm seeing online are ~33'' in height, and I was hoping to find something I could hide in a stand (~24'').

Of course if this doesn't exist maybe I'll get a freezer unit and a fridge unit separate and put them in different locations.

Anybody have a recommendation? Thanks again for all your advice and expertise!

    This is what I own:http://www.walmart.com/ip/Igloo-3.2-...eezer/15162473
The top houses frozen mice, the bottom cokes. Now, the only problem is that it can't hold 6 months worth of mice AND rats for my 10 snakes. If you just have one or two, it'll be plenty. Also, it's 33" tall which isn't quite 24"...but it's functional.

Now, if you wanted just a freezer for rodents, I would suggest a mini-chest freezer. Here are some options:
    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Igloo-3.6-...eezer/15162426 - that's also a little tall
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sunpentown...White/16816286 - that one is just 20" tall so it's within your ideal height...it just doesn't have a fridge portion.

The one I have is a Haier HUM013EA. It's a freezer only unit that I keep my stock of rats in and stands about 20" tall. I was worried initially that it wouldn't be enough room to hold everything, but for such a little box, it's surprisingly roomy inside. I got it on Amazon a month ago for $149 shipped and it's been worry free. Just make sure to leave it, or any fridge or freezer, standing upright for at least 24hrs before plugging it in so that the coolant can distribute itself properly after getting moved around during transport.

I had no idea about that with shipping a fridge. Good to know!

I like the Sunpentown RF-322SS compact refrigerator. It's lasted me all throughout college without slipping up at all. You can see it's ranked #1 on mini-fridge.info for best mini fridge overall. It would be a great fridge for stored frozen foods and cooled foods for your pets. Pretty sleek design as well and not a bad price for quality.

I have mine on the bottom shelf of my freezer at the moment in airtight containers, I never place my rodents in the fridge so I haven't had that problem. I have been thinking about buying a tabletop freezer as my collection grows though.

Surprisingly I don't mind the rodents in the freezer as long as they are airtight and stay away from my veggie food! Haha maybe she'll find it fascinating rather than gross, just don't let her in your freezer at an time :D

I used to keep them in my freezer also, haha then move them to the fridge to defrost for a day or two lol. It was hilarious when my friends came over for beers. I have since switched to PreKilled so I now farm my own rats :D.

I parked one of these in my garage. Used a big piece of cardboard to divide it into human food and snake food. Works great.

It's an Idylis 5-cubic foot chest freezer.
