Flexwatt / THG Heat tape Questions
I am building a rack here soon and what I have planned I am just wondering if / or how my heating idea will work.

Basically I am just going to have a smaller rack to hold various sizes of BPs. All I need to know is how different sized flexwatt / THG Heat tape will work on the same thermostat.

I want to use a strip of 4 inch heat tape under the smaller tubs and a larger 11 inch heat tape spot for a hot side of 41qt tubs.

My main questions is if I use 3ft of 4" heat tape (8 watt per foot) 24 watts total will the temperature output equal 24 watts of 11 in of heat tape (just over a foot because its 20 watts per foot)?

I just want to know if this set up will work with only 1 thermostat and one probe.

Has anyone done a setup like this before? or know if this will work for what I need?

You can't run two different widths/wattages of heat tape on the same thermostat channel. It's not safe. They'll heat up to different temperatures. If you want to do different widths in the same rack, you'll have to get something like a Herpstat 2 that has two probes and two channels.
