    enclosure temp vs ambient temp
I am keeping my BP's in a room I have recently designated to be a herp room. This is a pretty simple question. My ambient temps are kept at 82f 24/7 yet the probes directly in the enclosures say between 77-79f. Should I raise my ambient temps to 85-88f in an effort to get the enclosure temps up or is this okay? Also, I am going for breeding this season and understand how important temps are.

Your temps on the cool end are just fine the way they are.

Awesome, thanks for the help! I nitpick like CRAZY and even the slightest change from the plan in my head eats away at me.

Your temps are fine! You just don't want the cool side to dip below 75* or so. That just opens an avenue for a RI. Anything above and you should be okay.

Typically the ambient air temp in the room is a few degrees lower than the air temp in enclosure. But in either case I use these as a rough basic

80ºF cool end surface (give or take a few degrees)
90ºF Warm end surface ( Ditto)
Ambient air temps inside the enclosure (75-85ºF) It can be cooler but personally I would not suggest extended periods cooler. If it is usually warmer the hot spot might need to be rethought. The gradient system should likely give way to a mono temp system some use.

Your temps for air temps sit inside this so there shoud be no issues at all.
