Looking for blood ball (super ball) and or carpet ball (carball)
I'm looking into buying a super ball (blood python x ball python) and or a carball (carpet python x ball python) or breeding my own but I've been told it is difficult to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've looked around for a while. The few people who have them are trying to raise and breed them into color morphs. I have yet to see one for sale to the public. I really want one as a pet.

If I were to ever breed a breitensteini/regius I would get them microchipped and make any person wanting to purchase one sign a contract promising:

    not to breed them and

if they were ever unable to care for the animal or wanted to sell it, that it would be returned to me.

That being said I'd assume other breeders have similar, maybe not so strict guidelines about it.

Idk if I'd go that far I mean and they say most of them are sterile anyways.

I believe superballs can breed. I may be mistaken but I'm sure I heard somewhere that they can.

Can the Hybrid of a ball and blood even produce viable (reproductive) offspring? In all of my Nat Resources course work I did, all the common hybrids we talked about can not produce viable offspring. Now, not saying it can't happen, I am just not aware of it happening.

I did some research a while back and iirc super balls are very capable of breeding. This becomes a problem when you get 75% animals and eventually indistinguishable animals. You could have a blood with ball genes in it and have no idea. Muddying of the genetic lines.
