Can i do anything about this?

I just took in my cousins unwanted albino corn and the very edge of its tail is black due to incomplete sheds. I'm not even sure how longs its been like that, because my cousin doesn't know. Can I do anything to help the snake or make it better? All help is greatly appreciated.

Pictures would help if you can post some. Sounds like you need to get any remaining shed off and just let it heal though.

Yes pics would help. It might be that the end of the tail died.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. My ball has a very black tip on his tail and he's fine. But if you suspect he has/had incomplete sheds put him in a nice warm bath. It, if it is sheds, will come off in minutes.

It sounds like a buildup of bad sheds on the tail has caused the tissue to lose bloodflow and die (those dry skins will constrict the tail). Try to use a wet washcloth to get the stuck shed off, but be prepared that he might lose the end of his tail. He'll still live a happy life though!

Next time he sheds, just be sure to double check that he's shed the tail.
