Friends Leopard Gecko not eating

So my friends leopard gecko stopped eating last week. I advised her to take it to the vet suggesting maybe to have it checked for parasites. They have had it for over a year and husbandry has been the same.

the vet said to buy a a different UVA/UVB bulb one that would fit in a strip light for a aquarium. They said to provide a dish for him to soak in and to feed him Ensure 4-5 times a day. They said its husbandry. He was a great eater up until a week ago.

does this sound right or does she need a second opinion?
