    I say yes. I have my baby Ball in a sterilite that is 6" tall with a dark top. He is so comfortable that he hardly uses his hides. I say go for it. Just be sure to secure the lid so there is no escape. I put a phone book on top of it. But ball pythons will always appreciate more floor space rather then height.

    Yeah, I have all my ball pythons in racks, and the rubbermaids are about 6.4 inches high or so.. He should be fine; just MAKE SURE the lid is secure!!! :) (Just wouldn't want your little guy getting out). ;)
