can't decide to put my ball in a tub.
I've got an adult female ball (5' at least) that's been living her whole life in a 55G tank. she eats and acts fine but I can't decide if I want her in a tub or not. I have everything I need (41 qt tub, uth, dig thermostat, probed thermometer, etc.) but I don't know if me having just one snake to put in a tub is a good idea. I need some advice or encouragement please.

Tub is perfectly fine, I would make sure you can secure it to prevent an escape and the room where the tub will be located has the appropriate ambient temps.

I always had a hard time keeping temps and humidity in a tank. It was the biggest relief when I got my tubs!

^ This.
Keeping proper temps/humidity in a tank is very, very hard! Keeping them in a tub is very easy and it takes minimal effort. You just have to make sure the ambient temp isn't too cool and you have luggage straps or binder clips in order to secure the tub to prevent escapes.

got luggage straps and I keep temps in tank just fine (90 hot side, 80 cool side), humidity stays around 55-60 so I lightly spray once a day. I got 3 sides of the tank insulated with foam board as well as having 85% of the screen top covered. I just get sick of having a big ole tank sitting around I guess but I do have concern about ambient temps for the tub. I won't have a rack system to place the tub in but maybe I should go search for a cheap used bookcase or something similar to place it in. I think i'll put the tub together (putting the vent holes in), place on the uth and put it where it'll be going to see how the temps will be.
i'm pretty close to the snake and I think my human side is thinking she can't be put in such a little tub. LOL.
