yea I saw it yesterday. They dont allow midnight veiwings anymore at the theatre where I went so Ironman was in the theatres a whole day ahead of the actual release.
Its a good movie I'd say. I makes sure to tie itself in with the last Avengers movie, before it proceeds with ironmans individual story. Plenty of action throughout of course.

I'd say it just as good as Avengers but for different reasons. Very character driven. It also has to best surprise twist I have seen since 6th Sense.

    Easily the best IM movie.

I enjoyed it today. The theater had a line for getting in to see it(after getting tickets, people apparently thought the "good seats" would be gone, lol) but it was only half full so that was pleasant.

There's a short bonus scene after the credits that I hadn't heard of but luckily my friends had.

I also amused myself when we left the theater, walking past the people waiting for the next showing and loudly saying "Dude, could you BELIEVE the Mandarin was Stark's dad??"

I did tell them I was just kidding. But the irate moans and groans were quite satisfying.

I liked it. It was nice to see Stark NOT just in the suit blowing stuff up all the time. I mean, that's cool too, but it was neat to see a little "secret agent" work from him. Nice twists too.

Although, some of my friends didn't like it. I do understand their gripe of RDJ not having as much ego-swag to his character like the last 2 movies (his interaction with the kid he meets are hilarious though), but then again, he's not a playboy OR a CEO of a multi-billion dollar company anymore so I thought it was understandable that his character is a little more subdued in those areas.

Loved the action and the drama! :gj: Definitely worth it to see it in theatres, I'd say.

I have mixed feelings. The ending and "twist" was horrible. The middle was good. And I liked the Science Bro moment after the ending credits.

I hated it as an Iron Man movie. If you have any prior knowledge of what Extremis, the Mandarin, the Iron Patriot, and other Marvel comic book background stuff is, you probably won't like it...If you don't, then it was probably a good movie....

However, I do love RDJ. He *IS* Tony Stark. He is the perfect Tony Stark.

The Avengers was way better than this. However, there was good dialogue and some entertaining scenes.
Overall, If you're a Marvel Fan, you may not like this. And I mean not a MCU fan.

I will say, I saw right through several big "reveals" and "plot twists" where I was thinking "I bet that..." and was right.

In a couple things, it was a twist I didn't foresee.

I enjoyed seeing Tony Stark as opposed to all Iron Man suits. There has been jibs about Iron Man just being a big old gadget and not a hero. This movie should set that to rights.

I will say I've never been an Iron Man fan so I have no prior knowledge of plots or characters, so if they messed up the Mandarin, or did something differently from the comic-verse, it wouldn't bother me, but I understand that original fans WILL be bugged majorly. I have that issue with GI Joe movies and such too.

I saw it today and liked it a lot. I agree - RDJ IS Tony Stark. He did a great job portraying the comic book character and capturing all his quirks and even his insecurities. Very well done I thought. :gj:
