I would start by turning down your t-stat.... 110? Really?

You do know the proper temps to keep these snakes dont you?

Whats the problem? Just turn down the thermostat.

Are the pieces of heat tape both the same size? Do you have another thermometer you can use? Or switch them and see what they read. Temp gun?

yeah ive temp gunned it and its giving me a reading of 86-88 around the hides and inside and the 40 gal breeder tank has a slightly larger amount of heat tape i turned down the thermostat to 100 which gives me a 95 on the bottom glass of the balls cage and a 91 on my boa cage the temperature for my balls hot hide is around 90 and my boa hot hide is around 85-88 i have a very minimal amount of substrate around there hot hides

I would never suggest plugging two different heat sources into a single tstat outlet unless the two enclosures and heaters are identical.

    Where is the tstat probe?

A substrate of a 1/4 inch will usually work well.

The t state probe is foil taped to the heat tape on the ball pythons tank

I also have a hydrofarm thermostat that I could use for one cage and use my other viv 200d for he other snake tank do you guys think this would be a better idea?

Ok so I hooked up the Viv to the one and hydro farm to the other both thermometers read 95 on the glass and cool side stays at 80 I use the room heater to maintain ambient temps

I would drop the hot spot to 90deg, but otherwise sounds good. That way, there's less of a chance of a burn if there is a temp swing.
