I wasn't sure if Corns were good beginner snakes at first, but I posted a while elsewhere and asked many people and they all said "Corns are definitely good beginners" and they are beautiful to match!

Corns are as beginner as it gets... of course, there are some people who don't deserve to be responsible for another living thing, but that's another story altogether.

I say absolutely - but still be sure to do all your research and know what you're getting into. We'd be happy to answer any questions and critique your setup to make sure it's correct. Be sure you are willing and able to care for a long lived animal like a snake. :)

A corn snake is a good beginner snake, sure. But it's not like snakes are easy to take care of! They still need love and care an believe me, you will need to give it to them 24/7! And going to college, you will have to make sure that the dorm and the people you are rooming with are OK with it. If not, then you are going to have to find out who can take care of it. Remember, these sweet beauties last up to 20 years! If you don't think you're going to be able to deal with/want this snake for 20 years, then don't get it!
