Huntsville woman complains that city isn't doing enough to protect her from snakes
This is my city. You'd think people would realize that there are supposed to be snakes in a friggin creek.

How ridiculous! I would wager that woman was happy when she saw a nice little creek behind the house she was intending the buy. You live next to nature, you ACCEPT nature in all its forms.

I used to live in Hunstville. The entire city has a 'Pave it over' mentality. I remember there was this awesome creek running through our neighborhood when I was a kid. Damn near a river. We used to catch pollywogs, go swimming, once we even built a raft and tried to float down it. It sank. LoL.

I went back last year and it was all gone. They'd filled in the creek, paved over it, and thrown up more houses. Keep in mind I'm not talking about "I was a kid" like it was the 60's. This was the 90's. The entire city is just one big old nasty sprawl.

Bleecchh. Id be happy to live there. What concerns me is that she mentioned that the neighborhood was going to have a meeting to discuss "addressing the problem".....which probably means somehow killing the snakes. :( yeah, there used to be a beautiful woods, creek, and pond behind my house, where me and my friends used to play when we were growing up. Used to go fishing, trail riding, herping. About 18 years ago they chopped down the whole thing, bulldozed it over, and put a trailer park there. A TRAILER PARK!!!!

It may be just me but I have a little quirk about when people say snakes are "poisonous".
