I don't think it is, but someone said they think it might be something more. I doubt it, but figured I would ask. The father was a spider, and mom is a 66% het pied, suppose to be normal:) Thanks.

Just a spider, who knows what genes hide under that skin :)

Regular spider until proven otherwise. I like it though!

I've heard that pied genes do some wonky things to pattern- even for hets (though it's still debated, and the only way to know for sure is to prove hets out).

He's a cool looking spider regardless, but my guess would be that he's het pied, before anything else.

Thanks everyone. I produce this girl late last year, atleast I think its a girl, lol. I also have her brother, I think they are both reduced pattern spiders, nothing to special, but they are special to me. I hope they picked up the het pied gene. Both of there patterns are reduced and are very pretty in my opinion. Someone said they thought the female looked like she had yellow belly in her. I said I didn't think so, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask anyways:) Dad was an ordinary spider and mom doesn't really have any alien heads in her pattern, hoping to prove out the het pied next year if I can get my hands on a male pied this year. The only thing about this clutch is that there were 3 good eggs and all 3 were spiders:)
