    Any advice on taming?
Both of my new BP's are a little nippy. Ive only ever dealt with tame animals, so I it didnt occur to me that I would have to be the one to tame my own (:bonk:). Ive taken both snakes out one time each, and the handling went well considering I did not know anything specific to do. Towards the 10 minute mark of being handled, both became a little snappy. i put them back. Are there any certain things I should or should not do? and is there any advice to offer me about dealing with being nervous?

How old are they? If they are babies then it's normal and they should grow out of it.
Just keep up with regular short handling sessions except a couple days after they eat. They will adjust.

3 months and 4 months. Thank you, that's what I wanted and expected to hear. Any advice to me about nervousness or hesitiation. Ive become startled at how hesitant I actually have been with these animals. Normally I dive right into everything else...

I promise you that if you're bit, you'll barely feel it. If you let one of them bite you, you might not be afraid of it anymore... The one time I was tagged I could barely even tell, it felt like a soft pinch. On a side note, just handle them consistently and learn their body language, you'll get used to them as they get used to you.

What helped me stop being so nervous about being tagged was reading about other people on here being tagged by their BPs. My personal favorite was "it feels like getting in a fight with Velcro". :D There were pictures of bites and endless comments saying it really doesn't hurt at all and if you've been scratched by a cat, you've felt more pain than a BP bite. Now I'm not too frightened.

Once you learn your snakes and their body language you will know when enough is enough. With them being so young and nervous and you being nervous the shorter the handling periods starting out the better. Too long will cause you both to get nervous.
