Odd roach in colony...what is it?
Ive had a dubia roach colony for over 2 years, and havent ever added any roaches to it since the initial starter colony i bought. Last week I was looking into the cage and saw this female, which is HUGE compared to any others. It almost looks like a hissing roach, but how would it all of a sudden be in my colony?

this is a full size dubia female next to the other one

The big one looks like the roaches we get here in Florida. Is it possible that it got into your colony from the outside?

Selective breeding and all your females will be that size :)

The one I posted above is 2" http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/26/ruzy3yba.jpg

I have some huge ones but I don't mess with my females too much.
