    Reptile Show Recap!
As you guys know, today was my first reptile show. After taking a few laps around the building we zeroed in on the vendors that seemed to be nicer then the others. Turns out that it was a family owned business that not only bred Ball Pythons the breed Bearded Dragons, Crested Geckos and Leachies.

We got to talking and I noticed two beautiful snakes that were within my price range, (only brought $300). And after talking for a while about how they eat and how nice they are I started asking about prices. And I totally scored! I ended up with a gorgeous Female Spider and a beautiful Male Pinstripe.

Original prices were $150 for the Female and $175 for the Male. But with me being polite and complimenting them, they lowered the prices to $100 for the Spider and $125 for the Pinstripe.

And since my girlfriend was here for the geckos she ended up purchasing her first Leachie. Shes real tiny now but had a big price tag $300.

    Here's the Pinstripe:

    Here's the Spider:

And here's the new Leachie that will one day be upwards of 14 inches.

My hat goes of to Robbie Hamper and Shay Hamper of Elegant Reptile Images. They were extremely professional and have beautiful animals.

I've got a question about feeding them, as I'm getting ready to order some frozen thawed mice for them. They both way 93-94 grams. What size mouse would be a good for them? The breeder said they were on small mice but he didn't give me a gram weight of them. What do you guys think? What is the rule of thumb?

Thanks! I cannot wait to watch them grow to be the size of my adult. And I cant wait to dabble in genetics when it comes time to breed these lovely guys.

Now I just have to think of names for them. I'm thinking Archimedes for the male, and Aphrodite for the female.

    I like them :gj:

As for mouse sizes, just buy them adult mice. Those will be in the 20-25g range usually.

General rule of thumb at that age is 10-15% of their weight. Both of my balls are approaching the 1000g marker and will most likely never get anything more than 90g every 7-10 days.

I also visited the Daily Exotics vendor table. And I have to say there were some gorgeous balls there, I only managed to grab a business card, as the place was incredibly packed. But I have to say that Stephanie Davis knows how to raise her snakes. If they are there May 19th, she will be the first table I go to!
