Ugh. I just fed Munch his f/t mouse. I don't usually warm it up in the microwave, but the tap water was doing the job. Anyways, I put the mouse in Munch's cage and let him do his thing. I go away for a bit, and when I come back there's goo everywhere. Man, rancid stuff.

    Ewwwwwwww....

Tell me you didn't use the microwave to warm it up. If you did, don't do it again. Cooked food (even a little bit cooked) isn't good for the snakes. If the prey-size is getting so big that tapwater seems like an ineffecient way to thaw/heat it, then try leaving it in the refridgerator overnight. That'll thaw it completely, and then you only need the hot water or a lamp to warm it up.

Whoops. My bad, some other people on some other forums told me to use this method, but I didn't warm it up for that long. Like 7 seconds.

Thats one of the reasons I feed pre killed....exploding rats are disgusting! I've tried f/t a couple times with Atreyu, and he looks at me like I've grown another head. Then the rat explodes and he looks at me like "I told ya so..."
