    Wow my heart goes out to their family. So horrible to not only lose all your possessions you've worked for but your home, your animals, and the breeding program you built up. At least the family got out ok. I can't imagine having to go through what they did. Hopefully the community pitches in to help them get back on their feet.

    Clearly that firefighter was biased... I doubt the snakes were agressive. Defensive and terrified, of course-- even a reptile knows that fire=bad! His "apparently" clued me in to the fact that he wasn't very well-educated about snakes.

    i did hear that they were able to salvage some of their collection, at least. There's another thread farther down that has a discussion going on how we can help.
