Virgin females slugging out?

I was told by someone that virgin females tend to slug out... Is this true I have a lot of money in a new project coming up this next season and now I'm worried because I have a male that has never bred and three females that have never bred either!!! Is what I'm doing a bad idea or is breeding virgin females ok? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am really worried and don't wanna put all my eggs in one basket haha!

You can't make a female not a virgin unless you breed her.

Not true as far as I know. I've only had one virgin slug out on me. She was on the small side so I wasn't terribly surprised. I wouldn't worry if I were in your shoes.

What do you consider on the small side? One female should be atleast 1500 grams, one should be around 12-1300, and the last one should be atleast 1200. Those are low estimates also...

You want your females to be about 500 grams per foot of snake before breeding. The more weight the better.

I haven't experienced any issues with virgin females. So far this season, I have a 6 egg clutch and a 5 egg clutch from first time females. No slugs or infertile eggs.

Lol! I was gonna ask what the OP what they were gonna do if they did not breed this year because they were virgins but found out they were still virgins the next year.... Not trying to be a jerk but it was kinda funny...

To answer the question though if you are worried they would slug out because they are a little undersized/young then wait and you probably get some pretty nice clutches outta them. I have only heard of virgins slugging out on occasion but there could be a number of things that cause that not just that they are virgins.

I would just make sure they had good weight on them 1500g+ is my personal preference.

I know if I didn't breed them they would still be Virgins, but my whole point was if that was a problem, I was just gonna throw down the extra money and by proven breeders! My male is the prize of my collection so I want him to breed to nice females haha, but if him breeding to virgins is cool I'm gonna go for it!

I am gonna be nosy and ask what your breeding plans are? I am really curious.... :D
