New snake ideas??

hey, i currentily own a bp. And i have just bought a 77 gal tank for a good price. I wouldnt consider my self a beginer but by no means am i a expert. Im lookin all over the internet to try and find a new snake that intriges me. Im looking for something with a nice design and somethin that will reach about 6-7 ( appx .) feet. and have a fairly good temperment, I lovvve the bermuse pythons but they get too big. Any ideas?

Definitely get a BCI or Red Tailed Boa. They would fit perfectly in that size tank and are just as docile as as a ball python. I am not an expert either but that would be my next step.

Boa Constrictor Imperator is the same thing as a red tailed boa.

I like them because they are beautiful snakes with red tails and tan patches that are symetric. They have a great irredesence.

Edit: I forgot to add that the females get around 7 or 8 feet and the males get to about 5 feet.

I agree that a male BCI would be a good choice.

Is it a bad idea to keep a boa and and bp? Obviously not in the same enclosure, but what about transferring diseases such as IBD or certain kinds of bacteria?

You deffinatly have to be careful about it. I keep BCI and ball pythons in seperate rooms and ALWAYS wash hands before and after handling.
That is somthing to take into consideration while looking into what to buy. IBD has 100% fatality in Ball pythons.

I've read that boas are often passive carriers of IBD, not affecting them and they live otherwise healthy lives, but when transferred to ball pythons, extremely degerative and fatal. This discourages me from wanting to get a BCI.

Another snake to consider is a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Beautiful animals, and I think one would be very happy in a tank that size.
