Error on my part? Ouch

So I went to pick up my new female gunmetal blue anery boa (I know not a BP but boas isn't visited very often and I want more opinions) that I just took out of quarantine last week. I was doing some cleaning when I went to take her out of her cage. I rubbed her a bit to let her know I was there and as I was taking her out, BAM struck and held on for 30 seconds. My first snake bite btw so I was pretty excited.. That's not weird is it? Lol

Ouch!! Been handling feeders possibly, or maybe just startled her?

Dude I was totally giddy when I got tagged the first time. Given, that was just a BP juvi, and that is one big boa! How's it feel?

ADRENALINE RUSH from your first bite. Yeah, you probably just surprised her.

Boas actually does get lots of visits. :). Is it near feed day? One of mine gets really excited the day before feed day. Or did you smell like rodent?

Poop. I was holding the cutest little rat fuzzies earlier.. Didn't even cross my mind. But I was like petting her for a minute but when I tried to pull her out is when she got me. While it was like holding onto my hand I was like Julia! (Girlfriend/partner) and she said "are you okay?" I said "what are you doing?! Take a picture of it holding onto me! We can worry about me later!" Hahah

Haha I've heard people say that more often than you'd believe, lol. Don't worry, happens to the best of us.

Trust me I believe you lol. Probably doesn't help that she's nippy when she's going into shed (which she is)

Smelled like food this time. I keep sanitizer on top of my rack and I always use before and after handling/feeding/cleaning so that I always smell the same and definitely not like food. Lol
