    Weight Question.
I recently purchased a gram scale so I can weigh my Ball. He's a 7 1/2 year old male (I think he's male) and he's about 4.5 feet. Anyway just weighed him for the first time ever and he is 1537 grams. My question is, is that a good healthy weight for an animal of that age and length? He eats a rat every 5 or so days. Would I need to up the feeding or is he good?

Sounds fine. You could actually drop the feeding back to once a week, if you wanted. Most people don't keep their snakes on a 5-day schedule once they're past 500 grams or so. He could easily eat a rat anywhere from 50-100 grams once a week for the rest of his life.

Awesome! And thanks for the quick replies. Can't wait until I find some nice babies, so I can watch them grow.

That is a healthy weight for an adult male. I too would push his feeding schedule back to every 7 days.
