Anyone know where I can get a relatively inexpensive baby ball python? When I bought my first one, I paid $80 for him at the pet store, but now I know I can get them for less. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Find a herp show in your area and go, theres every snake imaginable for half the price. Last one I went to had $30 sexed BPs, and for $100 you could get a healthy adult with a *complete* setup from Outback Reptile. The breeders at shows are going to have healthier snakes with better genetics than your local pet store anyways.

Check your area for a good breeder. Chances are there is someone in your area or not too far that has good captive breed bp's. If not there are plenty of places on the internet where reputable breeders sell bp's. I know off hand some members here have had good success with Alex Hue, and LLLReptile as well as many others.

Can't possible ever pimp the Hamper pythons enough - we got our matched pair there. You might be able to find them a LITTLE bit cheaper, but this guy's got a TON of experience and does nothing but care for his animals full-time.

He'll be at the All-Ohio reptile show the 19th of this month in Columbus - anyone else headed up that way?
